Lyrics
This Time
You’re The Reason
I Needed You
Stronger
If I Run To You Now
Who’s That Other Man
Better
Like Nothing Else
What Can I Do?
No Other
Maybe I’m Amazed
Angel
Standing My Ground
D. Altman/ M. Cannon-Goodman/ N. Stovall
Get up every day, start another page
In this crazy life I’m living
Ain’t no time to rest gotta make the best
Of every single breath I’m given
I’m a woman with a mind of my own
I ain’t scared of getting what I want
Chorus:
I’ll keep goin round and round in circles
‘til my goin is coming back around
If you push I might stumble
But you won’t ever knowck me down
I’m standing my ground
When I can’t see the sun I don’t cut and run
Even if it pours down raining
I kick off my shoes and put on my boots
Walk right out the door and face it
I believe in taking what I get
And I’ve learned to make the most of it
Chorus
Sometimes this world weighs down so heavy
But my step is always strong and steady
Chorus
Even Alaska
N. Chapman/N. Stovall
Times are tough and money ain’t easy
I know you, you never quit dreaming
You’ve climbed as high as you can in our hometown
A better job just came open
And where we’ll land there’s no way of knowing
They’re telling you they need an answer now
I think I know just what you’re asking
No question I’ll start packing
I’d live anywhere
You can choose cause I don’t care
Even a small little town
Where you blink and it flies right past ya
Or a big ole city
I’ll close my eyes
And you just kiss me
Let’s take our love to Mexico
Or even Alaska
Life isn’t what you plan
It’s what you make of what you have
And I’ve got it all if I’m with you
Home is where you’re never scared
If you ask me we’re already there
Chorus
I Don’t need an ocean view
When I look out my window
I Just wanna be with you
Wherever we go
Sound Of Goodbye
C. Hutto /N. Stovall
I can tell by your eyes what you are hiding
You can’t fool me cause I see through all your lyin
You think you hold me in the palm of your hands
If you don’t think I’ll leave ya boy
Maybe you’ll understand
Walls shake from a slammin door
Broken glass on a hardwood floor
Smoke alarm in the back bedroom
Gonna burn every letter
That she gave you
My engine revin up
Peelin out, kickin up dust
You can cry to her tonight
Cause this is the sound of goodbye
Did you think I would never find out about her
Good for you she looks exactly like what you deserve
Won’t help to beg and plead
You already had your chance
If you don’t believe I’m gone
Maybe you’ll understand
Chorus
I told you if you crossed that line
That I’d never stick around
If I wasn’t clear back then
Maybe you’ll hear me now
Whatever It Takes
G. Brown/ N. Stovall
As a little girl
I dreamed of diamonds and pearls
And Cinderella stories with princes and white ponies
My Daddy’s no king
Don’t need expensive things
Cause “happily ever after” is all that really matters
When You’re with me, everything becomes so clear
You’ve shown me how to live through every fear
If the stars were to fall and the earth starts to shake
I’m gonna save you from it all
Whatever it takes
And so we’ve come on hard times
We scrape up pennies and dimes
To build a life that we’re proud of
While hope and faith surround us
When You’re with me, everything becomes so clear
You’ve shown me how to laugh through every tear
If the stars were to fall and the earth starts to shake
I’m gonna save you from it all
Whatever it takes
I will beg, steal and crawl
A promise that I’ll never break
Sometimes you just have to hang on
Whatever it takes
If the stars were to fall and the earth starts to shake
I’m gonna save you from it all
Whatever it takes
I will beg, steal and crawl
A promise that I’ll never break
Sometimes you just have to hang on
Whatever it takes
Step By Step
P. McLaughlin / N. Stovall
I’ve been feeling lonely
Every day that you’re gone
Everybody tell me
That I need to move on
But I know better
Cause you won’t ever
Forget where you belong
Step By Step you’re gonna walk it on back to me
Step by step Cause that’s how it’s gonna be
Step by step baby you’re gonna see
Step by step you’re gonna walk it on back to me
I don’t have to wonder
If you’re thinking ‘bout me
We’re gonna be together
Eventually
It may sound selfish
But I can’t help it
There ain’t no way I’m wrong
Devil
T. Crain/ C. Daniels/ T. DeGregorio/ F. Edwards/ C. Hayward/ J. Marshall
The devil went down to Georgia he was looking for a soul to steal.
He was in a bind ’cause he was way behind:
He was willin’ to make a deal.
He came across this young man sawin’ on a fiddle and playin’ it hot
And the devil jumped upon a hickory stump and said
“Now, boy let me tell you what
I bet you didn’t know it, but I’m a fiddle player too
And if you’d care to take a dare, I’ll make a bet with you”
Now you play a pretty good fiddle, boy, but give the devil his due
I bet a fiddle of gold against your soul, ’cause I think I’m better than you.”
The boy said “My name’s Johnny and it might be a sin,
But I’ll take your bet, your gonna regret, ’cause I’m the best that’s ever been”
Johnny rosin up your bow and play your fiddle hard.
‘Cause hell’s broke loose in Georgia and the devil deals the cards.
And if you win you get this shiny fiddle made of gold.
But if you lose, the devil gets your soul.
The devil opened up his case and said “I’ll start this show”
And fire flew from his fingertips as he rosined up his bow
And he pulled that bow across the strings and it made an evil hiss
And a band of demons joined in and it sounded something like this
When that devil finished, Johnny said “Well you’re pretty good ol’ son
But sit down in that chair, right there, and let me show you how it’s done”
And he played
Fire on the mountain, run boys, run.
Devil’s in the house with the risin’ sun.
Chicken in the bread pan, pickin’ out dough.
Granny, does your dog bite? No, child, no
That devil bowed his head because he knew that he’d been beat
He laid that golden fiddle on the ground at Johnny’s feet
Johnny said “Devil just come on back if you ever want to try again
I done told you once, you son of a gun, I’m the best that’s ever been”
And he played
Fire on the mountain, run boys, run.
Devil’s in the house with the risin’ sun.
Chicken in the bread pan, pickin’ out dough.
Granny, does your dog bite? No, child, no
